Shining a Light - James Witham

This month we would like to Shine a Light on our Community Champion 2025 James Witham, who in October reached the 20 year mark at Neville, holding various roles, working from driver bearer to branch manager.

James not only oversees the daily operations of our Dunstable, Hemel and Stopsley offices but also carries out day-to-day funeral tasks and community engagement. As he comments, “The brilliant thing about my role is that every day is different.” 

Within this role the friendly nature of our employees is something we pride ourselves on, whereas James notes his “role is both challenged and blessed by them.” As he so beautifully put “Those that we serve must be made to feel that they are the only ones and to achieve this there is an element of preformative work to be done.” 

James helped to set up our 10 Talking Elephant groups, which have been operating for 10 years. His journey within the company has been amazing to watch and we cant wait for many more.
